This is a large commercial building that was in desperate need of a new roof! The existing wood shakes were well past their useful life and the building was starting to experience leaks. After a long battle over coverage with its insurer, Morning Star Lutheran was finally able to pull the trigger and we began the work. You can see our crews erecting safety fencing, tearing off the old wood shakes, and begin installation of new Certainteed Presidential Shake IR laminated asphalt shingles. JRC was the third contractor on this project. We were brought in because other contractors had failed to complete the work in a satisfactory manner. JRC crews had to remove old work done by others before beginning to install the coil fascia wraps and gutters correctly. This home was a custom built home and had many delicate and intricate issues surrounding the soffit and fascia. JRC crews installed coil wraps along all the fascia and installed 6" gutters. Note the scale of this project. The owner was very happy that JRC could complete the job in a timely and correct manner. This was a great siding, soffit, and gutter installation job by Johnson Roofing & Construction in Omaha, Nebraska.
We could not show full frame photos on this job because of the surrounding terrain. This project included the installation of Q350 fanfold insulation and Mastic Quest siding panels. Note that there are virtually no seams shown because we used 25 foot siding panels, allowing for less lapping and seaming than in typical vinyl siding installation projects. Also, note the great detail around the front door of this home. Johnson Roofing & Construction crews were able to create great detail in the coil wraps used around the front door and garage doors which are shown in the pictures. Also, there was a unique addition in the rear of the home that required great skill and attention to details to keep the siding and coil wraps looking square. Note these details in the photos. This is a great siding and window installation project from Johnson Roofing & Construction.
This project is an insurance claim. Initially, the insurance adjuster only covered several panels of siding. JRC staff negotiated with the owner's insurer to make sure they covered full replacement - otherwise, this house would be left with awkward mismatched panels and it would not have looked good. JRC then completed the roof and complete siding replacement. This is a good example of a great roof and siding replacement project in Murdock, NE from Johnson Roofing & Construction.
This home presented some unique challenges. As you can see in the pictures, there were many rotten trim boards around windows, eves, and cantilevers. All these trim boards had to be removed. Then, Johnson Roofing & Construction crews installed Q350 insulation and Mastic Ovation siding panels around the entire home. The installation of the windows and door needed special care because the new windows required different interior trim profiles. Also, the sliding glass door needed to be framed, as there was no existing door where we installed the new one. Note the details of the window wraps and the contoured profiles used to create an appealing exterior look for this home. This is just another example of a great siding and window installation from Johnson Roofing & Construction.
