JRC was the third contractor on this project. We were brought in because other contractors had failed to complete the work in a satisfactory manner. JRC crews had to remove old work done by others before beginning to install the coil fascia wraps and gutters correctly. This home was a custom built home and had many delicate and intricate issues surrounding the soffit and fascia. JRC crews installed coil wraps along all the fascia and installed 6" gutters. Note the scale of this project. The owner was very happy that JRC could complete the job in a timely and correct manner. This was a great siding, soffit, and gutter installation job by Johnson Roofing & Construction in Omaha, Nebraska.
This project is an insurance claim. Initially, the insurance adjuster only covered several panels of siding. JRC staff negotiated with the owner's insurer to make sure they covered full replacement - otherwise, this house would be left with awkward mismatched panels and it would not have looked good. JRC then completed the roof and complete siding replacement. This is a good example of a great roof and siding replacement project in Murdock, NE from Johnson Roofing & Construction.
As seen in the photos, the existing wood shake roof on this home was well past its useful life. Johnson Roofing & Construction crews can be seen delivering material on the roof top (roof top deliveries help keep building materials safe and minimize the disturbance caused to the property owner), removing the existing layer of wood shakes, and installing the underlayment and new shingles. Note that ice & water shield can be seen being installed along gables ends and valleys, which is required per Omaha's building code. We also install ice & water shield anywhere that poses a risk for water infiltration, such as skylights and cupolas. Also note that synthetic underlayment is being used rather than traditional roofing felt. Synthetic underlayment provides for a smoother, cleaner installation surface and also protects against water infiltration better than standard roofing felts. Finally, you can see the finished roof along with the newly installed seamless gutter system. Take note of how clean JRC crews leave the work site at the end of each project. This is another great roof installed by Omaha's best roofing contractor, Johnson Roofing & Construction!
Johnson Roofing & Construction crews installed Kingspan Q350 insulation over the entire house. Installation of insulation panels not only creates a nice, smooth surface for siding panels, but it also increases the thermal protection properties of the home and helps protect walls from water infiltration. We also installed Pro T solid and vented soffit along all eves and cantilevers, trim coil along all fascia boards and windows, and a new 5" "K" style seamless gutter system. This project is a great example of Omaha's best siding installation from Johnson Roofing & Construction.
Johnson Roofing & Construction crews removed an existing layer of wood shakes, installed GAF synthetic underlayment, IKO StormShield ice & water shield, and IKO Cambridge laminated asphalt shingles. Of particular note on this project was the fact that several fascia boards needed to be replaced. The old shakes extended off the roof line farther than normal, and the original installer tacked small boards along the fascia. Once the old shake layer was removed it created an uneven fascia line which presented a risk for water infiltration. JRC crews adjusted the fascia where needed so that the drip edge and gutter apron would function appropriately and keep water from infiltrating the home. This is a great example of exceptional workmanship on an Omaha roof replacement project from Johnson Roofing & Construction!
