Our core focus in on ensuring policyholders are fully indemnified under their property & casualty policies. Accordingly, the vast majority of expert witness services we offer are surrounding coverage disputes. That is, much of what we do is hold insurance carriers responsible to provide all the benefits they are contractually obligated to provide
In addition to coverage disputes, we also have a network of experts for the vast range of construction-related disputes. Construction imposes risk. Risk of non-payment; risk of non-performance; and risk of liability. When litigation arises from these or any other risks on a construction project, experts are needed to help identify duties and breaches or failures to perform. Sometimes experts are needed for proper valuation of work or defects. Whatever the issue, if it is a risk on a construction site, JRC's network of highly educated and experienced experts can help.

Submit Case DetailsNavigating a coverage or construction dispute can be a complex and overwhelming process. When every detail matters, you need experts you can trust to provide clear and credible insight. That's where we come in. Our team specializes in expert witness services for a wide range of construction disputes, including coverage, non-performance, breach of contract, negligence, and non-payment. With years of hands-on experience, in-depth industry knowledge, and a commitment to delivering unbiased analysis, we provide the support you need to make strong, informed cases. Whether you're resolving a dispute privately, through mediation, or in the courtroom, our coverage and construction experts are here to guide you every step of the way.
We offer expert witness services tailored to tackle even the most complex coverage or construction disputes. Here's how we can assist you:
Insurers deny claims all the time - sometimes correctly, but often times incorrectly. Without a proper investigation and analysis by a trained expert, insureds may never know if coverage actually applied under the applicable facts and law. Insurers are generally shielded from any claim of bad-faith so long as their denial was "reasonable" at the time. Our experts can show if that denial was reasonable or not.
When commitments fall short, we analyze project scope, timelines, and obligations to uncover the root causes of non-performance. Many disputes arise because the respective duties and obligations of the parties are not clearly defined. In these situations an expert is vital to understanding if any failure has even happened.
Our experts provide detailed contract reviews and assessments to determine where terms and conditions may have been violated, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the issues.
Construction site liability typically involves significant injuries and damages. Our experts draw from years of experience in the field, OSHA and other regulatory safety guidelines, as well as reviews of internal safety documents and procedures of the parties during their analysis of your case. Most importantly, our experts all have real-world experience - something you cannot fake in a courtroom. Juries may not grasp highly technical aspects in every instance, but they are very adept at assessing credibility.
With a meticulous approach, our experts can conduct forensic analysis to reconstruct timelines, evaluate damages, and pinpoint liability in disputed projects.
If you are interested in retaining an expert through JRS you can fill out your case details here. Upon acceptance, you will be assigned an account manager to act as the liason between you and the experts. Your account manager will assess your needs and provide you with the CV and bio of several experts. You will then have an opportunity to screen each expert before engagement.
Experts bill based on the time they spend on each case with varying rates for different tasks or activities. For example, document reviews and initial analysis reports may be one rate, but deposition or trial testimony may be a higher rate. Because there are a number of experts with various expertise, billable rates will vary between experts. When your account manager provides you with list of qualified experts you will be provided the billing rates for each before you make a selection.
